Renka Hagihara

萩原レンカ

With two decades in nail artistry, Renka approaches each set with the precision of someone for whom detail is instinctive. Her Japanese-Chinese heritage informs a practice shaped by contrast: restraint and ornament, softness and structure, tradition and experimentation.

Her work is never decorative for decoration’s sake. Every curve, texture and finish is considered—built slowly, observed closely, and resolved with quiet intention.

Summer Capsule 2026:

A study of what remains after a quiet summer by the sea.

Salt settles into metal. Shells lose their edges. Linen fades in the sun. Tortoiseshell darkens beside pale lilac light and translucent water.

Studies in Coastal Residue gathers these traces into small, intricate objects: pearled surfaces, mineral whites, misted blues, amber resin, softened florals and worn metallic contours.

Not souvenirs of the shore.

Evidence of having stayed there.
